INTERNATIONAL PHILOSOPHICAL SEMINAR Human Body Human Body in Comparative Approach: Philosophy, Literature & Art KRAKÓW, Ul. Podchorążych 2, room 337 28.05 – 30.05.2014
My Lecture:
The ruined migrating bodies - key-problems: the body and its manifestation in literature? women's writing and the question of corporeality? the body as a metaphor of displacement/migration? This May I will give two lectures on Polish contemporary literature in Stockholm.
This city is just beautiful in Spring: the Nordic north is awakening in colours in an intensity that it is difficult to find anywhere else. I remember one April in Stockholm and the cherry trees in blossom... (I must find some photos of these trees). The lectures will not be so cheerful: about problematic issues with the construction of identity of Polish contemporary prose and about its characters and on melancholy in Polish women's writing. Yet, it will be fun - there is so much going on in Polish culture nowadays!
